Dunlop Boat Launch to Lodge, 2019-02-04

Through the freezing rain nine die hards hiked from Dunlop boat launch onto the snowmobile trail to the lodge. It was still lovely and you are so right Chuck it was a beautiful spirit amongst special people. PHOTOS

Who we are

Welcome to the blog of the Coureurs de Bois Outdoors Club headquartered in Elliot Lake, Ontario, Canada.

We are a very casual hiking club.

We have about 250 kilometers of trails in the pre-cambrian shield, a beautifully scenic and fairly rugged area of lakes, wetlands and rocky areas amply covered by all manner of flora and fauna.

We offer leisure, easy and intermediate hikes, snow shoe hikes and special events throughout the year. Our members also enjoy canoeing, kayaking, and cross country skiing.
