Thursday's hike will be a road walk . It will be along Hwy 546.
We will drive 30 minutes on Hwy 108/ 639 to the intersection with Hwy 546. We will turn right and park along the roadside. We will walk along the highway for a distance of 4 km to our lunch spot overlooking a small lake. Then we will just turn back and retrace our steps to the vehicles. Total distance is 8+ km. The roadway is clear of ice and snow.
Please have at least a half tank of gas just in case.... if you are a driver.
See you Thursday at the usual meeting place in the parking lot. As usual, make sure you have water and a lunch/ snack. No snowshoes required.
