Dumbell Lake, 2019-06-17

Photos and commentary by Donna Condon and Bill Hazelton:
We had a " bakers dozen" ( 13) hikers today set out to Dumbell Lake.  The blackflies and mosquitoes were still around but lots of dragonflies so that is a good thing.
We stayed along mine road as far as the gate between the two lakes ( that answered the question of why it is called dumbbell lake).  We had a lunch along the waters edge sitting up on the rocks.  Dave is our official Monday " finder of flora" along the way.  He spotted lady slipper orchids, wild iris's, strawberry blossoms, and at the end of the hike even a tulip can you believe...no doubt dumped along the way some time ago.  A great day we had with lots of laughter.
