October 2nd The Coureurs de Bois
are invited to join with the Penokean Hills Field Naturalist Club on a guided tour
of the Kensington Conservancy in Desbarats.
This hike will be led by Carter Dorscht of the Conservancy. The trail goes
through a mixed forest with mossy outcrops and a variety of mosses and lichens, with a view of
lake Huron. The hike will be
approximately 2 1/2 hours in length. Meet at Centennial Arena at 8am on October 2nd to car pool
for the 1 1/2 hour drive to Desbarats. The Leader for this is Maureen Cameron.
