Martin T. opened the meeting @ 7pm
Members Present- 32
Minutes of previous Meeting – Motion to adopt by Sue M., second by Donna C. – carried
Secretary/Treasurer’s Report- Motion to adopt Donna C., second by David N. carried


President’s Report
Marty is still investigating the MOU (memorandum of understanding), and the implications for our club.
A motion was made to empower Marty to investigate the MOU with legal advice (by Rick M., and second by Donna C., carried).


Trail Masters Report
We have cleared trail (VTA) from the Ski Hill to the Golf Club and it is now in good shape.  Most of the Red Briffet Trail has been checked. We still need to check the area around the Golf Course and the Snowmobile Trail.  A possible clean-up is to be scheduled. Please check the blog for details.
The Horne Lake Trail needs some cleaning/clearing. TBA.


Vice-President’s Report
Nothing to report.


Membership Report
Our current membership stands at 110.  Six people have moved out of town. Donna C. reports membership dues are being paid in a timely manner.


Ongoing
We will not be leaving the VTA.
A friendly reminder to all Hike Leaders to ensure that hikers have proper footwear, water, snacks etc., when leading a hike!
A motion was made to drop our July long weekend hike at Mississagi Park due to poor public attendance. (made by Astrid T., second by Sue M., carried).
Fantastic turnout at Lumberjack Days at Mississagi Park on the August long weekend!
Christmas Party this year to be on Dec. 6th at the Moose Lodge.  Sheila H., will be organizing the event.  With help from our hors d’ouevres makers. A big thanks to all who help out!  


New Business
Highway Clean-up is scheduled for Oct. 9th.  Details on the blog.
New Hike Leaders Training is scheduled for October 18th/19th.
