A hearty group of 15 met early and started the COBRE trail at 9:30 am . We did the trail in a clockwise direction so that the major hill climb was near the start of the trek. The view from the top was spectacular as was the climb to get there.
From there the hike was a mixture of fallen trees, rough terrain, sloppy mud, rocks, tippy log bridges, and distance ... lots and lots of distance. 13 made it to the end. I was so tired at the end I didn’t care where we lost the other two! All in all a great accomplishment for sure as we arrived back at the cars by 5:30 pm.
