Dave led 11 hikers on Thanksgiving along Angel and to a rest spot on Crystal Lakes.. then across the road to the Slipper lake lookout for snack... the misty fall day showed the ranks of Penochian hills to the west of the lake.. we could see 7 or 8 ridges.. on a sunny day it all looks like one green ridge... saw a chipmunk, black squirrel, and mushrooms... the rain and wind has knocked a lot of the leaves down so it was tricky footing with wet leaves over rocks and roots.... got reports on Cup and Saucer hike from participants.. six foot tall oak tree with the two top leaves the size of dinner plates.. all returned safely if muddy in spots.. golf is over so Dave Adams is back..
