The pm. "seniors hikers", 8 to start, 9 by the end, wound up at the Sheriff Lake lower trail, coming back on the upper trail, which the am. hike group did in reverse. The lower trail now has many cut birch trees (intentionally) strewn on our lower trail, which was plane to see! We started in moderate rain at the Scotiabank parking lot, which then lightened up/paused at the trail head, until we almost returned to the cars. Then, Chuck, who joined us on the return leg on the high trail, suggested we take a short hike in the opposite direction, into the sanctuary. Thanks to sweep, David, who had already joined Emily and the am. hike group.
