For 2 1/2 hours, Dave led 15 hikers from the snow dump, up the woodpecker trail to Crystal lake and on to the Slipper lake view point. Then we folowed the bush trail down to Pim's camp on the lake, dodging an odd tree. There we stopped for snack and a rest. a wee chat and an experiment or two with compass and thermos flask later we kept going around Slipper lake and so back to the parking... a few blow downs caused detours but most of the usual wet spots were pretty good.. good intermediate hike and no casualties... did I mention the three or five hills?
