Today 9 of us headed out to Panel Mine Rd for a hike up to Little Quirke Lake. Was a bit on the cool side with a stiff breeze off the east making it chilly indeed to stand around. When we arrived at the trail head to Little Quirk we quickly rushed into the bushes where it was more comfortable. After making our way up the hill and around Duthorne Lake, we left the Little Quirke trail and made our way to Peak Lake. It was 11:00 AM when we reached Peak Lake. Tim had taken the time to pack a Canadian Flag, so we unfurled the flag and and held a short ceremony for those that have served for our freedoms. We then moved on to our destination which was a little campsite that a few of us are working on.
Everyone there expressed that it was a good hike and especially the ceremony. Thanks Tim. Thanks everyone who made today a special day
