25 Hikers... a new record for me, hiked from Milikin Mine road out towards Sheriff lake. I welcomed the new certified hike leaders as well as trainer Bill. Some old faces showed up and added to the group conversation.. after puffing up some hills, we paused for a look out across the Sheriff Creek valley and then climbed a few more hills... down to the lower trail and on to the berm at one end of the lake to skip stones across the new ice.. back on the trail and in to the other dam for a snack break.. came back on the lower trail, past the beaver pond and the large raven nest. Skirting the model airplane field, back to the road and on to the cars.. 2.5 hours in 3-5 inches of snow and bright sunny, -8 weather.. beautiful day, great hike, perfect company... 9,700 steps....
