9 hardy hikers left Stanrock Rd to break trail to Northspan Lake, lunch and a well deserved break. The snow was quite deep in places which made for a bit of tough going, however we persevered. Many of the trees were heavily laden with snow which, when bumped, dropped their burden on a few unsuspecting hiker. The mood was light with plenty of laughter. The sun shone brightly during most of the hike which made the winter scenery that much better.
