There were 6 of us hikers on a coolish morning departing from the day care parking lot. We practiced donning and doffing our snowshoes as some of the route had been kindly groomed. Almost bush-wacking we followed the previous broken, slightly narrow trail down to Esten Lake. Whilst on the lake Jean-Guy was very observant to spot evidence of ice fishers and a fire scar. However, we backtracked a little and had a small fire for lunch, where bad things were roasted and toasted. The merits of various diets were discussed and we returned via the same route.
