On Saturday’s hike we snowshoed a new trail to us, from Hwy 108 all the way to Grant’s trail, 2.5 km and then back out the same way.
It is a lovely all season trial with only a few gentle hills, going through a variety of tree growth. We saw a lot of rabbit tracks which made one of the hikers rub his hands with glee. We saw an inordinate amount of moose track activity and even a wing print of maybe a bird of prey catching it’s dinner??
Paul Torrance is an original Laker with a lot of trails mapped out and he shared this one with us. I can see it being a very popular hike in the future.
The pictures are of the alder branches that the moose was munching on.
