We hiked on a well-packed ski-doo trail, heading south off Dunlop Shores Road. Spring is definitely pushing winter out, judging by the running and standing water on the sides of the trail, and the washouts gouging the road. Although the sun did not shine, the temperature was mild and the forest protected us from the wind. Thirteen lively, chatty hikers made their way along the trail, stopping just short of the "ranch" to take a short break before heading back up the trail. A pleasure to be out in the woods, sharing a pleasant walk with a terrific group.
