Jim took us for a road walk down Panel Mine road. mild and breezy, lots of water running, Serpent river full... a dozen or more small hills along the way.. where, in summer, the small falls are at the entry to Quirke lake is now only a rapid... one creek divides into four falls at the edge of the road.. birds are back, one otter spotted, a few butterflies, and one fuzzy little caterpillar... about 8 of us..
