Jean-Guy led 17 hikers on a road walk along South Bay Rd. Signs of spring as the snow is slowly melting but very soft off the road. A couple of hikers tried the snow banks just to check it out and were up to their knees in no time. We stopped for a snack break at Thompson’s camp area, a great facility. There was no rain today for a change and the turnout was more back to normal . It was nice to hear some birds chirping and to see the odd squirrel scampering about .
