The following is correspondence between Dave Nesbitt and Matt Borutski (VTA pres). As this is an email thread read the bottom one first . Bill
Thank you Matt, I will pass this on to our members.. All is cordial from our end as well. We will still maintain the VTA rail through our area. indeed perhaps improve bits... Hike Ontario has sent us the forms we need to join up and we await our insurance papers.. Hike Ontario has suggested March 1st as the change date.
David,The Coordinating Council will meet on April 24th to discuss our way forward in the future. We will keep you informed of the steps that must be taken as well. The process will be cordial of course. While none of us would tell the Coureours de Bois how to conduct their business as a Club, the VTA did not want to have them separate from us. The door will always be open to further collaboration.Matt BorutskiOn Wed, Apr 13, 2022 at 12:28 PM David Nesbitt <wdln2177@gmail.com> wrote:To the Governing Council of the VTA,
Dear Matt and all..
The Coureours de Bois held a special meeting last night, April 12.
35 members attended and 13 others sent proxy cards.
All 48 members voted to become independent of the VTA.
The executive will now start the process of devolution..
We will keep you informed of steps we take and time lines.
I hope that the process will continue to be cordial and look forward to a collegial relationship as members of Hike Ontario.
