Eleven hikers set out to conquer the Porcupine trail to the fire tower and back home. It was a long uphill climb but we were not alone as every black fly in the area feasted on us as we persevered. We took a much needed rest at the tower and enjoyed the view and most of all we enjoyed the breeze that gave us some relief from the hungry winged predators. We were very happy to see the gate and to get in the cars and out of their claws.
