A dozen hikers showed up this morning hoping that the rain would hold off for the hike and it did!! The beach to beach hike is always a good choice when the weather has been wet for an extended period of time as the trail is seldom muddy and wet. We did have to watch our footing as the exposed roots were a threat as were the boardwalks that are covered with gorgeous coloured leaves. Being an experienced group we used poles and took our time, admiring the old growth trees. Spine Beach proved to be too windy and cold for the break so we went back into the bush where it was a lot warmer. Thanks to CJ & Art for being wonderfully attentive sweep, one from the middle and one from the back.
