Dave led on Boxing day... 8 showed up, frosty -12, no wind so off we went to the sanctuary (much) to break trail for the Pinokians.. we traveled the "Red" trail, on snowshoes, to pack down the snow for the birders.. we tamped down the trails to several bird feeders along the way.. the trees are laden with snow, very picturesque.. some strange tracks, (maybe weasel) but mostly clear.. sun came out and toasted us on out break.. I remembered how to walk on snowshoes again... after 8 hikers covered the trail, it was quite smooth.. all ready for another dump of snow..
Nice sunny crisp day for a hike.
