We had 8 today and the weather was great. Snowshoes on, snowshoes off. The ATV trail back of Frame Cres. was groomed and packed. The leader led from the rear as the group bolted down the leader's previous ski trail down to his past campsite and ultimately to the shoreline of Esten Lake. A walk across the lake to Long Island was the the furthest extent of the hike. Some slush near both shores, but manageable. Lunch was a quick fire, but the leader's sausages were underwhelming. The return trip was following the same route. No marshmallows were harmed during the hike.
