Thirteen hikers set out at a good pace to walk the road all the while solving the world’s problems, one at a time. Lots of talking and enjoying the wonderful sun and warm temperatures. Then every once in a while a cool breeze over the snow would feel very refreshing.
The leader stopped the group at the 3 kilometre mark and took a vote as to whether we should go one more kilometre before heading back to the cars. It was decided we could do one more, so we did and then headed back to the designated log the leader had picked out for the snack break.On the way back we met Rejean Cry, who stopped his truck and told us of his plans to make a hiking trail on the right side of the road heading west. It will go from the road up the mountain and provide an excellent vantage point for the C de B to admire the view. He is making it specifically for the C de B. Imagine??? What a treat, he hopes to have it finished by the end of July. Very exciting…. a new trail.
