A dozen hikers showed up to walk and gawk along Stinson road, all the while chatting and looking at the bush on either side of the road. We walked to the campsite on the lake and we were appalled by the conditions that some of the trailers were in. Open doors, missing windows and just general disrepair of most of the trailers. We had our break there and on the return trip we saw: a gaggle of Canada geese, a flock of ducks, two sandhill cranes and a mama grouse and her wee chicks.
I am pretty sure everyone had a good walk on a dampish, dreary day.
