when Dave checked out the advertised route he deemed it too tough for a Monday hike so he rescheduled it for July 1
Instead:
Dave led 10 mosquito feeders from the Washington dog park out to the woods for a jaunt out past the James snow and bearbait trails.. we passed along the slipper lake east side down to the first campsite for snack. On return we decided to deke out the bugs and stayed on the all nations road back to the cars..
a few muddy patches (thanks to beaver) on the way out but nice shade and a building breeze. Flowers out, violets, blueball lily, honeysuckle, and more.. a male pine was right full of pollen laden cones.at break, the breeze picked up nicely and mossies took cover..
two took a side trail home and the other 8 made it back to the cars.. 5 on for cold drinks..
pleasant day
