Ten hearty hikers set out to hike to McCabe lake that the leader had checked out the day before, but she didn’t check far enough and low and behold there was an raging creek that kept us from hiking any further although we did try to go around the fast moving stream.
So on to plan B and we went back to Helen’s trail and had a great and challenging hike to Northspan Lake using the trail going left from the first crest. The hiker pack did not give any grief to the leader, but instead, rallied round and everyone enjoyed the beautiful sunshine.
