Six intrepid hikers who are not put off by a little snow/rain precipitation walked along the trail enjoying the scenery and conversation.
Slowly we started seeing the effects of the wind storm from Tuesday night. Lots of debris on the trail and a lot of trees down along the route.When we arrived at the CdB bench, we started having to go around blow downs. Then we started to hit devastation on a scale that is seldom seen.
We were blocked from going any further so turned back and had a break at the bench before getting back to the cars.
This trail is not usable further than a couple of kms until it is cleared.
