A team of 5 showed up at the park to clear the Semiwhite creek trail.
We have cleaned it every year that I have been here. This is the worst shape that I recall. dozens of trees down, some right across the trail and others diagonal. lots of brush and sticks.. We worked hard for 3.5 hours and got it all done save for 1 tree that is 24 inches across that our saw won't cut through. It is high enough to pass under for now. We need the gas saw to complete it.
We lunched at campsite #1 and returned via the water line trail. We cleared that too on the return leg, though it was in far better nick.
People are starting to use the park. There was a boat and couple of kayaks at the dock.
Not much water down the creek, arbutus in flower, blue ball lily, lily of the valley, all on the way..
saw a fresh antlered bull moose on the way back.
thanks Mark, Keith, Ginette, and Emily for joining me
