The overnight showers cleared out and made for a pretty nice morning hike, the temps did get a little warm but the bugs were not too bad on the bush road, once we cut into the bush for the last 500m we ran into a few more skeeters but once we got to the shore of Hope lake a nice breeze helped clear most bugs while we ate our snack, saw lots of bear scat, deer/moose tracks, tons of blackberry blossoms, dragonflies too numerous to count and even a very alive non flattened garter snake, overall mother nature played nice and it was an enjoyable hike for all.
