A beautiful, sunny morning to be out enjoying the woods and the company of like-minded CdeB hikers. The trail conditions were great, given the amount of rain that drenched the area on Saturday. The only trace of the rain were several mucky spots that were drying.
Birdsong was plentiful, singing us along the trail. The minnows and tadpoles were plentiful swimming close to the shore of Rye Lake.
A light breeze kept us cool, and the biting insects away - bug nets were not required. Interesting striations on flat rock sections of the trail were noted. Perhaps from ice receding.
A very pleasant way to enjoy the great outdoors.
