Dave Led a group of 10 out of Burley park on a cool morning.. Rick was sweep and Emily along for scouting purposes..
we wandered along the woodsy path to a quiet and lovely beaver pond. Up and down hills, passed many an interesting twisted trees and rocky protuberances. Eventually we made it down to the ATV2 trail and into Jake's lake.
After a gander at some ducks and finding fresh evidence of beaver activity we trekked along to turtle rock and into a windy point on Angel lake.
After a snack and water break we took a trail on the other side of the inlet so that 20 minutes later we were about 30 yards across from our lunch stop.
Along to a large well used glade with chainsawed benches, we crossed a wetland and used a new pallet bridge to get to the Canmet snow dump.
From the dump we took the trail back past the bamboo, over to the Burley parking area.
we saw birds and squirrel, yarrow blooming, snapdragons and thousands of trees.
