David led 13 hikers from Spine beach, along Emily's trail to Sandy Point.
After the last couple of years, flotsom camping gear and garbage was missing.. Emily only found a handful of refuse for her collection.
Cool beginnings but some were shedding layers as the morning wore on. Sunshine and still air made us happy to be outside. A few branches down and an easy ford were easily dealt with.
Chats abounded, squirrels swore at us as 26 feet of hikers trod the rocks, dead leaves and rich forest floor.
The bench is still in place. The Sandy Point was clean. Our snack/water break pleasant and conversations stimulating..
!0 am start and back by 1:30, 7+kms and 12,000 steps.
Rick made sure we left no-one behind.. good day for a great hike..
