Well Saturday did not turn out the way it was supposed to, but I suppose that could be called a metaphor for life itself.
The leader cancelled the fire at Hi Rocks because of the amount of snow that had already fallen making pipeline road tricky for driving, the actual snow falling and the wind up on the peak would be fierce.So instead the hike was suppose to be Porcupine and back but again it did not go according to plan. It turned out that the leader was all in but her shoe laces at the trail head because of breaking trail.
The back drop for the hike was beautiful, the snow lay heavy on the boughs begging its picture to be taken. You can never have enough snow pictures, it seems.
Three hiked out and three came back, so you can’t ask for more, eh??
