Today we had nice sunny and windy weather for our hike and clear to
Little Quirk Lake. We tackled a few logs on the steep hill at the startand periodically on to Duthorne Lake. The trail was not very wet
considering the recent rain. Some more blowdowns on the shoreline trail
to the campsite. Don took on the biggest tree, maybe 12 in. near our
destination. A 30 minute lunch on a warm rock allowed us to rest and
reflect. The trip back to the cars was nice and fast due to a cleared
trail and downhill. Thanks to Don for carrying and sawing and Walter
for lugging the saw on the return trip. We shall return in the fall for
a lunch and fire for sure.
