Splendid.
Magical.
Beautiful.
Snoglobe of colour.
Those words do not begin to describe this time of year in our area.
Seven hikers started from the Claire Dimock Day Care Centre and took a series of ATV, OFSC and bush trails to Little Esten Beach.
The water surface on Crystal, Angel and Esten lakes was smooth as mirrors. This allowed for perfect reflections of hills and cliff faces in the shimmering water below.
Two more abandoned vehicles were spotted. One was a dark blue Cutlass . The other looked like a 1950ish green truck with wooden boards in the floor!
We had our break at Little Esten Beach. Big Esten Beach was visible to the west.
It was 6 km of walking through a kaleidoscope provided by azure blue sky, red, orange, yellow and still green leaves.
A great day to be outside.
