Paul Echle trail 2025 10 20

A pleasantly mild morning with plenty of sunshine was perfect for hiking along the Paul Echle Trail.  Although the initial climb up Mount Dufour’s Bunny HIll was a good workout, the seven CdeB hikers found it well worthwhile to get to the trailhead.

Leaves blanketed the ground allowing extensive views through the bare trees, but did make it necessary to be mindful of the hazards hidden beneath.
Despite the days of much needed rain that soaked our area, there was only one wee puddle and a trickle of water running down the trail.
Some bird calls, interesting fungi and a new tree growing out of a scar on a parent tree. The yellow birch leaves look spectacular against the blue sky.
A terrific day to be out on the trails.
