Update for this Thurs Oct 23rd hike. It was hoped to hike up to thunder Mtn off the Boland road, we did get the o.k from the SRFN Band, however the problem is now flooding that occurred across the Boland rd due to beaver activity which has only become worse due to the recent rains, so... for now the Thunder Mtn hike has been put on the back burner and instead we will hike the Cobre Lake trail on Thurs Oct 23rd ( raindate Fri Oct 24th ).
Though we have not hiked this trail in several yrs as a club hike, it was hiked recently by two of our club members ( Tim & Tom ) and the trail is surprisingly in pretty good shape.
Due to the length of the trail ( between 12-14km depending on who you believe ) we will meet up for the hike at Scotia bank at 9am and should be back at the vehicles between 430-530pm.
Make sure to bring sufficient water and snacks for the day, as well as proper hiking clothes for the cooler and potentially wet weather.
