Winter has started to settle in for her annual visit. The dusting of snow on the trees and the trail was beautiful, but covered the icy spots underneath. Fortunately, all seven hikers were mindful and stayed right side up throughout the hike.
Various animal tracks, including the trail's namesake wolf, ran along and across our path. A couple of small streams were still running, and although the waterfalls were iced up, there was still a good flow of water creating a pleasant musical background for our break.
It was worth getting out of the house to share a pleasant couple of hours in such beautiful scenery and company.
