A beautiful, sunny morning with a temperature of -10. Just perfect for our group of 7 snowshoers to explore a small network of trails in the Washington, Tokyo and Ottawa Ave area.
A few fox and squirrel tracks were on the fresh snow on the trails. There were some loud Blue Jays and a Pileated woodpecker darting through the branches.
Trees along the trail were weighted down with last night's snowfall. We felt the invitation to stop and savour the calm beauty.
People enjoyed checking out the little used pergola on the trail through Glenden Park at 1 Washington. Very impressive carpentry work!
We had a leisurely 3.5 km snowshoe trek along our in-town trails.
Merci a Gerald Jean for being Sweep. PHOTOS
