Hikes were taken to the trail overlooking the golf course and surrounding area, the Rio Algom tailings site opposite Quirke mine and the circular trail following the Ski Hill, ridge, Fire Tower, Westner and Paul Echle trail.
Bugs, at least the black fly, are diminishing, but mosquitos are now out. We were able to do most of the above hikes without full gear...a good sign!
We have been working on the Paul Echle Memorial trail that runs from the top of the bunny hill at Mt. Dufour to Westner Lake dam and have "signed" it. There is more work to do on the picnic site at the Westner Lake end and the trail will be dedicated on July 4th. when Lisa's family will be able to attend.
