What rain? A soggy rest stop on Semiwhite.4 family groups got together on Thursday night and pitched various types of camping gear for a quiet and comfortable night. We had a reservation for the group site but the park messed that up somehow and we ended up in the regular campground. Friday dawned cool and clear and 2 hikes set out about 11am. One to Helenbar and the other to Semiwhite. Shortly after noon it started to drizzle and soon became a monsoon-like downpour, including rumbles of thunder. Everyone got soaked and the BBQ for that evening was cancelled and the tent campers, whose gear was a little sodden, headed home. Spirits were high however, the group from Semiwhite actually coming back to camp singing! They could just be heard over the squelch of their boots and equipment!
