A relaxing time at the fire tower lookout
Are we there yet?Eleven stout hearts turned out for the Thursday hike on the last day of August. Welcome to a new hiker, Tom. We parked at the ski hill and then climbed same. Along the ridge to the fire tower lookout and then on to Westner (Spillane) Lake. Can someone give us the history of the 2 names on this lake? Through the woods to the Paul Echle picnic site - still work in process - and a welcome lunch, then home to the ski hill parking lot. It was a beautiful, sunny, day with a clear view across to Manitoulin Island and beyond.
