One of the spectacular rock formations in Agawa Bay
Many rocky outcroppings and views
Go to it Jean-Guy!

Another rocky climb at Agawa Bay

Climbing Baldhead at Agawa
Off the beach and into the woods

At the wind farm
Like "War of the Worlds"
An odd shape to be in, obviously not a hiker....or maybe is?
Love your wind turbine. A bunch of turbine huggers!

9 people took up the challenge thrown out by Rae & Jean-Guy to travel to Lake Superior and hike parts of the Trans Canada trail there. 2 hikes were picked out: On Sunday, Gros Cap, near Sault Ste Marie and on Monday, a journey 100 miles north to Agawa Bay to hike part of the Orphan Lake area. Weather was perfect, cooling breezes and sunshine. THe Gros Cap hike was relatively easy and took us though a "wind farm" populated by about 25 huge wind turbines. These things, while environmentally friendly, make quite a noise. We could hear them on the trail for some distance before actually seeing them.

The trail at Agawa Bay was only about 7-8km, but quite challenging as it traverses rocky areas adjacent to the beaches and a fairly stiff climb up one of the many viewpoints.
