Echle Trail loop Dec. 07

We sallied forth with lots of energy into about 18" of snow around the ski hill and beyond on Dec. 4th. It took a little while, but some realised they were overdressed and others...well, there's a bit of energy required to navigate through that much snow. A word of warning - if it becomes too much for you, tell the leader and you can be escorted back. No harm or shame in it, just common sense and effective leadership! Just don't give up, your legs and the muscles that are not used to snow shoeing will soon get back into shape. Remember that layers of clothing are essential and underclothes should be able to wick perspiration from your body. Thx "Bearded"John for the pics.

OK, change the lead.
Water break!
Tracks in the fresh snow, ID time...fox, perhaps?

A great downhill run, if you have skis!
A little snooze called for here
