Hope Lake

8 hardy souls trekked the Hope Lake trail in very deep snow on Feb. 26 th. The snow was very deep and the warm temp on the way home caused balling up. All slept well that night!

We're knackered!

Who we are

Welcome to the blog of the Coureurs de Bois Outdoors Club headquartered in Elliot Lake, Ontario, Canada.

We are a very casual hiking club.

We have about 250 kilometers of trails in the pre-cambrian shield, a beautifully scenic and fairly rugged area of lakes, wetlands and rocky areas amply covered by all manner of flora and fauna.

We offer leisure, easy and intermediate hikes, snow shoe hikes and special events throughout the year.
