Dear Phill, & Liz.
We had a good hike today, after an icy rain fall the day before, it was an overcast, & damp day, but mild. Fred lead the hike today, he took us into Hope Lake by way of the togging road, he also used his G.P.S. unit as a guide, we saw a pickup truck heading out, so we talked to the driver, and he told us what was in the area, and to watch out for a prospector's camp & cabin. We stopped on the other side of the camp for lunch. On the way back, we saw another pickup truck coming in, so we also talked to this driver, and he pointed out a snowmobile trail that would take us directly to Hope Lake, in just 5 minutes, off the logging road. We were all quite excited when we saw Hope Lake for the very first time, & as you can see by the pictures the place is very busy with a drilling platform, and a base camp.
