Nordic Walking courses

Hi Phillip: Thank you for allowing me to share this information with your members.

On September 29th I will be hosting a Nordic Walking instruction class and certification program at the Blind River Marina from 8.30-4.30 pm.

The group instruction class is 90 minits long and costs $20.00. You can register by emailing me at seniorpigeon@hotmail.com or calling 356-7763 and leaving a message. I will collect the fee on the 29th pror to the start of the class. Specific class start times will be announced pending final registration numbers. At present I have 30 people interested in taking this class.

The certification course is 4 hrs long and costs $135.00. Registration is on line with the instructor, Barb Gormley at www.bgormley@rogers.com. Registration deadline is September 8th/09. To date I only have 3 people signed up with Barb and I need 8 to cover all the expenses. Confirmation of proceedings will be dependent upon full registration.


Poles will be provided, on loan, for the practice sessions and are available for purchase at a reduced cost.

The Marina Cafe will be open for snacks, lunch or supper as desired.
