The Fun Day at Fred's Cottage was a wet one, but we all enjoyed getting together and sharing stories and having a heart warming laugh or two. There were at least 28 people plus and 2 couples who hiked with the Club a long time ago. They had stories of their own to share about the Hiking Club. Fred's Brother & his wife, who have a cottage down The road, stopped by. During the on- again- off -again rain showers a few of us had fun outdoors. Earlier in the day, Fred & Joy braved the cold waters of Lake Huron & the white caps and paddled their kayaks in & out of various coves. While up on land just before dinner, Jean Guy, & Stan Kanafa challenged Rae & Joy to a friendly game of horseshoe's. Dinner was just super, Fred cooked up his famous hamburgers & sausages, and everyone brought their own famous salads & deserts. Dianne & Stan Kanafa made sure everyone was feeling happy & relaxed, with some of their own home made wine. Rain or shine, the Coureurs de Bois Hiking Club members sure enjoy their potlucks.
