I had four brave souls turn out in blustery damp conditions for a short hike to Rochester Creek. I had originally planned to go to the upper falls but as we rounded the first bend at the shore of Quirke Lake there was quite a strong cold breeze blowing so a minor mutiny occurred and we opted for the more sheltered lower falls route. Wimps. The water levels are down quite a bit and there was only one small area of the trail that had standing water on it.
With the light dusting of snow on the fall leaves it was very picturesque particularly when the sun managed to poke through the scattered cloud cover.
