On Thursday, 7th. "Only " John lead 12 of us to Upper Rochester Falls on a beautiful sunny day with all the promise of Spring. The road was fairly firm, but this soon changed to softer areas as the frost was burned out of the ground. We encountered snow nearer the falls and 5 of us decided to stop there and have lunch while the larger group plodded on through the ever melting slush. Saw the first sign of migration, sandhill crane prints in the mud. Thx to John for the pics.
